As a special way of saying "thank you" to all that have donated these past couple months, Michael's Dream Foundation would like to do something special. Firstly we are extending the Raffle until December 9th. We feel that in order for everyone to participate a bit more freely we are also reducing the entry amount to ten ($10) USA dollars instead of the $20.00 that was required. This means that those that have already submitted $20.00 or more will now have multiple entries included for this raffle! This is a great opportunity to win one of the great raffle prize packages for just $10.00. Please click here to donate to enter the raffle!

On December the 9th Kerry Ward of MDF will be broadasting the winning entries via a live webcam broadcast! Bookmark the link below and tune in at 9pm GST (4pm New York time) for the broadcast.

As we start to gear up for the 2013 Holiday Season, we decided to throw together some exciting prize packs for a raffle event starting October 17 and running all the way through December 8! The raffle drawing itself will take place on Monday, December 9 on what has been labeled "Cyber Monday" in the United States. Cyber Monday follows "Black Friday" (the day after Thanksgiving) which is the start of the official Christmas shopping season and typically the largest shopping day of the year in the United States. We thought this a fitting time to be able to offer you some exciting prizes that you can either give away as holiday gifts, or keep for yourself!

On December 9 we will draw 3 random names during a live webcam feed from the UK so you can watch in real-time to see if your name is drawn! Don't forget to mark your calendar! We will announce more details as the date grows near.

The prize packs up for grabs are:

We are very proud and excited to announce that Michael's Dream Foundation was the charity selected to receive a one-of-a-kind, autographed "Man In The Mirror" music chart plaque from the one and only Siedah Garrett! On October 27 our very own Brigitte Laurent from France, and our biggest VIP supporter, Dennis H. Christen (Lundon's Bridge and The Three Keys) attended a small receiving ceremony in Los Angeles where Ms. Garrett presented the plaque to them on behalf of MDF.

NEGAUNEE -- Students at Negaunee's Lakeview Elementary School were learning how they can stop bullying and stay positive throughout the school year.

They saw a special presentation from local musical artist, Adam Whittington.  He talked about keeping a positive attitude and told the kids about his experiences with bullying in school.

The school's staff says the message of keeping a positive attitude is a powerful one.

"This is a message that does help with combating bullying, also having the communication with parents and with other teachers and with the students, too, working together, trying to create the best atmosphere and the safest place for all students," said Lakeview School Assistant Principal, Warren Potts.

The presentation was put on by the SHINE volunteers at Lakeview Elementary.

SHINE stands for School Helpers Investing In Negaunee Education.
